Download ePub FXL from Write

To download the ePub of your eBook in fixed layout, click on “DOWNLOAD” at the top and choose the format: ePub and KF8. You must download both formats, as KF8 is the format required by Amazon for publishing the fixed layout eBook.

Once you have selected the format, StreetLib Write will allow you to set the page characteristics:

FORMAT: you can choose whether to create a file that adapts to the screen of a specific device (iPhone or iPad if you have chosen Epub, Kindle Fire if you have chosen KF8) or whether to create a file that respects the dimensions of the pdf or images that you initially uploaded (Original Format).

ORIENTATION: you can choose whether to force the book, once opened, to be displayed horizontally or vertically, or whether to let it adapt to the orientation of the reading device used (“Device-based”), or, finally, whether to make the orientation follow the dimensions of the first page (Dimension-based).

PAGE SPREAD: you can choose whether to have the book displayed as a single page, a double page or, by selecting “Automatic”, let the single or double page view be decided by the reading application that will be used by the person reading the book. Please note. If you want your FXL ePub to be accepted by Kobo, you will need to set: - Orientation: "Device-based"; - Page layout: "Automatic".

If you have chosen to download the ePub format, you can finally decide whether to make the “Interactive text boxes” available, that is, whether to allow portions of text to be enlarged by clicking or tapping the device screen, a feature supported only by some devices and reading applications, such as iBooks.

Finally, click on “DOWNLOAD” at the bottom to download the file.

Feel free to check the file by opening it with one of the compatible applications.
