Once inside StreetLib Write, you'll have many ways to add a book. If you don't have a book written yet, you can just start from scratch by creating a new project. You'll be able to choose the type of book you'll write, as we'll open an editor adapted to the kind of formatting your book will require:
- the BASIC BOOK, COOK BOOK and POETRY types are all reflowable eBook editors (ePub2/mobi), the Basic Book editor is the default one and you'll be able to work there with any kind of book where the content can be adapted to the reader's device. The cook book and poetry types have presets to get a ready-to-be-published layout while keeping a reflowable content (for instance, the cook book type has parts for ingredient lists, images, etc.). A dedicated section on this help center will take you through the details of creating a reflowable eBook.
- The FIXED LAYOUT BOOK, COMICS and KIDS BOOKS types are all fixed layout eBook editors (ePub3FXL/KF8), the Fixed Layout Book editor is the default one and you'll be able to organize the pages as you wish for any kind of book that requires a fixed layout whatever the reader's device is. The Comics and Kids book editors have presets with specific layouts and features adapted to these book types (popup text and/or frames, etc.). The Fixed layout is an heavier format and should only be used when really needed. More details are available in the dedicated section of this help center.
