When you meditate on your book price, you want to find a right balance between what you get back: your royalties (which are calculated on the list price) and the price you think readers will want to pay: the street price. Today, depending on where your ebook will mostly be sold, this balance changes.
To help you see if you will be affected I inserted below a table of all EU countries tax percentage on ebooks.
Knowing that the most important bookstores were applying the lowest European fare before (around 3%), you can calculate how the street price of your ebook will change. Basically, if you don’t want to lower your royalties, readers in countries where the tax law is set higher than 3% will pay your ebook a bit more than before on big international bookstores. Local national ebook stores probably already applied the local tax fare so it won’t change there.
